WorkForge ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights — wherever you're using WorkForge from, including the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia.
WorkForge is a mobile application for tradespeople that creates and sends professional quotes and invoices by voice — you describe the job out loud to an AI assistant, which drafts the document for your review before anything is sent. WorkForge is available to users in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia. For any privacy-related queries, contact us at workforgeapp@gmail.com.
We collect the following categories of personal data:
WorkForge may ask for the following device permissions. Each is used only for the purpose stated, and most are optional:
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may use device identifiers and usage data to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns via Meta (Facebook).
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on the following lawful bases to process your personal data:
WorkForge uses the following trusted third-party services to provide its features:
WorkForge allows you to store the personal data of your own customers (such as names, phone numbers, and addresses), including data you choose to import from your device's Contacts. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to store this data and that your customers are aware their information is held within the app. WorkForge acts as a data processor on your behalf for this data.
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and secure authentication.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
In the event of a data breach that is likely to affect your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users and the relevant regulator (such as the UK's ICO) without undue delay, and in any event within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Some of our third-party service providers are based outside your home country, including in the United States (Supabase, Deepgram, Anthropic, RevenueCat, and Meta). Where your data is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including reliance on standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent mechanisms recognised under applicable law.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.
Your rights depend on where you live. We honour the applicable rights below regardless of which region you're in, as a matter of good practice.
Under UK GDPR and, where applicable, EU GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at workforgeapp@gmail.com — we will respond within 30 days. Where we rely on your consent (such as for ad tracking), you may withdraw it at any time via your device Settings without affecting processing already carried out. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" — WorkForge does not sell your personal information. Residents of other U.S. states with similar privacy laws (such as Virginia, Colorado, or Connecticut) may have comparable rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at workforgeapp@gmail.com.
We handle personal data in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You have the right to access and correct the personal information we hold about you, and to make a complaint about how we've handled it. To exercise these rights, contact us at workforgeapp@gmail.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
WorkForge is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, including under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
Quotes, invoices, and document text generated by WorkForge's AI assistant are drafted based solely on what you say to it. WorkForge does not verify the accuracy of this content. You are shown the generated document and must confirm it before anything is sent — you are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of any document before it reaches a customer.
This content is provided as a convenience only and should not be relied upon as professional financial, tax, or legal advice. WorkForge accepts no liability for any loss, penalty, or damage arising from reliance on AI-generated content, including errors in quotes or invoices sent to customers.
WorkForge is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the app. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WorkForge shall not be liable for any loss of data, service interruptions, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app.
This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer or data protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence, including the United States and Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
